5 natural beauty tips that work like a charm

We’ve all heard of those “natural beauty remedies” sometime! And we all know for sure that they work perfectly due to their natural components! But do we really know how to prepare them? What are the ingredients and how are they used?

In this article the UAE based blogger, and our Guest-Belle “Sahar Makki” is sharing some of these centuries’ old remedies with Belle Beirut’s readers. Sahar will be taking care of your skin, smile, hair, and nails!

1. Clear Skin

How to control a nasty breakout pimple? First use an ice cube to control the swelling and redness! Then, dab some toothpaste on it before bed and it should be completely dried out by the morning!

2. White Smile

No one wants to see a beautiful face dimmed because of a yellowish smile. To get the bright smile that will reflect just how your glam truly does shine do the following:
Mix one ripe strawberry with about 1/2 tbsp. of baking soda together to make a mash.
Brush unto your teeth and leave it on for 5 minutes. Then brush thoroughly with regular toothpaste to remove the berries. Floss to remove any seeds. Repeat once a Week.

3. Luscious Hair

It is a fact that just like your skin speaks volume about your health, so does your hair. No guy can resist running his hands through your shiny and bouncy tresses. To naturally enhance the beauty and health of your hair do the following:
Bathe it in Vinegar. Yes, you read right! Vinegar works to restore shine by removing any build up from other hair products. It leaves hair smooth and silky and is said by many to remove tangles. Repeat as needed, and depending on your hair type: once a week, or as often as three times a week. To make a vinegar rinse, add 1 cup vinegar to 2 cups warm water, add a drop of essential oil if you like, and work into your hair.

4. Beach Goddess All year round

Do you love hair that turns lighter in summer? Would you want to have it all year around? “Honey” Sahar got your solution, just follow the below recipe:
Mix one egg, one table spoon of honey, half a banana, a tea spoon of olive oil in a blender until you get a smooth milkshake like concoction. Put the smoothie on your hair and wrap in a towel/plastic bag (to hold heat in) for 45 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly and air dry (or light blow dry).

5. White Healthy Nails

Even in the days that we do not feel like accessorizing or even adding color, a simple manicure can go a long way!! But what is the price we pay for constant back to back manicures?
For all of us who are addicts to nail polish -as in their nails hardly get in the nude- you may have noticed that your nails become more on the yellowish side with the frequent use of polish. And the only way to have them go back to their normal color is by leaving them bare for weeks. Well, Sahar has just the trick for you that can shorten the process to two days!
All you will need is a lemon and a small bowl. What to do?? Cut the lemon in half, and dig your nails into the soft parts and lather them with the juice. Repeat this process for around 5 minutes every time. It may take u from 2 days up to 5 days depending on your nails and their texture. However repeat this process until satisfied!
