Seven nail art trends we’re totally loving this winter


Whenever fashion goes forward, makeup and nails trends follow! We picked our favorite seven nail art trends of Winter 2013. Straight from the Fall-Winter 12/13 and Spring-Summer 2013 runways, these trends will be featured repeatedly throughout most of 2013.

 1. Oxblood:

The it color for Fall-Winter 12/13 is going over your lips and your nails too. One of the classiest colors to go.

 2. Nude and Taupe:

The number one versatile colors of the season, they ruled a good portion of 2012 and are here to stay in 2013.

 3. Electric Blue:

A fresh burst of color that can highlight any outfit, and with the right accessories can definitely stand out.

 4. Shades of Lavender:

Here since 2010, the shades of light purple, violet and lavender are still ruling the runways; adopted by Dior this time, this trend is staying on the beauty map

 5. Retro Impressions:

Shiny red, polka dots and black-white contrasts are the eternal courtesy of Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier.

 6. Metallics and Mirrors:

Minxy nails are definitely the highlight of 2012-2013, HD impressions and light capture is definitely on the menu.

 7. Black with Gold Detailing:

Black backgrounds with golden details are in this year. A twinkling night-sky effect is the add-on glam of the runway.
