Help save the Cedars of Lebanon

A wonderful new initiative to spread awareness about the need to protect and save the Cedars of Lebanon has been launched on Youtube, and I think it’s worth checking out.

“The Cedar is the only thing everyone in Lebanon can agree on”, with these words the wonderful people behind this video invite the viewers to protect the unique symbol of Lebanese national pride.

How? It’s simple, you just have to purchase a track created using a rhythm extracted from inside a Lebanese Cedar tree (yest you read that right).

It seems the Lebanese Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Education are behind this initiative (believe it or not), and I for one am really happy with this kind of project (although I would have preferred a different kind of music to be used with the tree’s rythm, but hey anyone can now create a track using these amazing natural sounds).
