Timeless, versatile and full of surprises, Middle Eastern handbag label LaLaQueen has announced the launch of its vibrant new Geometric Collection.

Designed and produced in Beirut, Lebanon, the Geometric Collection brings a contemporary and refreshed aesthetic to the LaLaQueen brand, inspired by the unity of geometric mineral crystals and their interplay with fashion. The bags engage well-proportioned hexagons as the basis of their shape and are naturally hand dyed in a range of vivid colours to create a look of vibrancy and fun. Colbalt blue, rich brown, deep black, and juxtaposing canary yellow and blue animal print sit alongside earth tones in a perfect marriage of colour.

A testament to the inspired work of Sally Sarieddine, LaLaQueen’s Geometric Collection reinforces the designer and founder’s belief in the important role of individual authenticity and self-expression in fashion. Influenced by the meticulous work of master craftsmen with an exceptional regard for exquisite, ethically sourced local materials, Sarieddine’s vision gave life to a collection of backpacks and handbags adorned with a vintage metal clasp synonymous to LaLaQueen designs, and further features removable and adjustable leather straps.

The collection uses high quality consciously sourced cow leather as the primary material, and as a contemporary fashion label that specialises in handcrafted leather handbags, LaLaQueen ultimately aims to provide a trendsetting and sustainable brand that complements the growing global focus on maintaining and protecting Earth’s natural resources.

Sarieddine says sustainability continued to be a major focus as the company moves from strength to strength: “I am a strong advocate of sustainable design and remain mindful about where I source all materials, which is why I create timeless pieces which can be enjoyed forever. I try to minimise waste where possible, LaLaQueen packaging is 100% recycled and the leather we source comes from Lebanese farms where we know the meat is going back to the meat industry. Our handbags are assembled by highly skilled local artisans who operate under healthy working conditions and we are committed to maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers and their employees. It’s important that as a home-grown brand, we ensure we give back to the community to support the local families of Lebanon. As LaLaQueen continues to grow, so will our focus on sustainability.”

With sustainability at the heart the Geometric Collection successfully merges three distinct components: the intersection of contemporary design with geometrical principles and applied technologies, combined with the precision of old world craftsmanship traditionally used in making leather goods.
