Most women are intrigued by straight men’s obsession with the big bags of fats the ladies carry on their chests. What is so attractive about breasts? Why do they love them so much? Here’s a new theory.
Scientists have rarely studied this phenomenon, but now, a neuroscientist came up with a new explanation that “makes a lot of sense”.

Larry Young, a professor of pshyciatry at Emory University in Georgia (USA), claims men’s fixation on boobs may be a direct result of a natural activity during their childhood.
In an article published in LiveScience, the researcher who studies the neurological basis of complex social behaviors, says human evolution has harnessed an ancient neural circuit that originally evolved to strengthen the mother-infant bond during breast-feeding, and now it seems this brain circuitry is used to improve and strengthen the bond between couples.
The meaning? Men’s obssession with boobs is a similar behavior to a baby’s attachment to his mother’s breasts.
In fact, when a woman’s nipples are stimulated during breast-feeding, the neurochemical oxytocin, known as the “love drug” floods her brain making her focus her affection on her baby. Recent research has shown that this neuro-stimulation doesn’t work only for women and babies, but for men and women in a relationship as well.
Now we know why women call their partner “baby”.
