“Connecting architectural photography to fine art; these works show abstract architectural photography. Instead of showing the building as a whole or in its actual context this technique in photography presents a modern architecture through a more minimal and aesthetic approach that focuses only on the elements which form its essence.” – Diana Mehrez.

“The reason why I almost always choose mask as the object of my art, be it photography or painting, is because I think all human beings wear layers and layers of masks during their life. Let us be honest with ourselves first and accept that each and everyone of us is wearing a mask and hiding our true faces.” – Shogh Ian

The finalists were selected from 67 entries submitted by emerging photographers from Lebanon. The winner is set to be announced on September 21st at the Beirut Art Fair in Biel.
