Lebanese singers tweet their support for Gaza

Twitter has been flooded with support for Gaza from around the world, and it was only a matter of time before Lebanese celebrities took to the micro-blogging platform to express their support as well. Here are some of the most notable tweets.

Lebanese singer and performer Ragheb Alama is without a doubt one of the most active and outspoken celebrities especially when it comes to violence against Palestinian children. In the light of recent events in Gaza, he turned his Twitter account into a gallery of videos and pictures displaying the atrocities caused by Israeli attacks and regularly re-tweets headlines and messages of support from other fellow tweeps.

For his part, renowned Lebanese singer Assi Hallani has tweeted several messages of support for Gaza and the Palestinian people. He also condemned the lack of Arabic support to the Palestinians and the silence of Arab leaders following the attack.

Famous Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram, has also tweeted in support of the Palestinian people and asked her followers to pray for the innocent people who are dying in Gaza.

Surprisingly, the massive support for Gaza on Twitter did not come only from celebrities of the Arab World; big names from around the globe also sent tweets in solidarity Gaza, including Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Whoopi Goldberg, Diwght Howard, etc.

The big question remains: is tweeting enough?
