Lebanese Olympic skier Jackie Chamoun and former French footballer Christian Karembeu married in Greece in April 2017.
The pair tied the knot during a private ceremony in the town hall of Piraeus, a port city within Athens’ urban area, a source close to the pair told BelleBeirut.
The wedding ceremony was officiated Yannis Moralis, the mayor of Piraeus and a close friend of Christian Karembeu. The former footballer currently serves as a consultant for Olympiakos, a Greek football club.
The newly married couple will be celebrating their wedding in Lebanon this week with family and friends, added the source.
Jackie Chamoun, 25, is a Lebanese alpine skier who represented Lebanon at several world championships, including the Winter Olympic Games in 2010 and 2014.
She hails from Deir El Kamar, a city in the Chouf district of Lebanon. The lovely young skier studied Sports Management at the Glion Institute in Switzerland.
Christian Karembeu participated in the Clasico of the legends which was held in Beirut on April 28, 2017.
In 1996, he had married Adriana Sklenaříková. The two divorced back in 2011.
