Child Empowerment in the Early Childhood, a conference by The Syndicate of Professional Nurseries in Lebanon

The Syndicate of Professional Nurseries in Lebanon organized a conference titled “Child Empowerment in the Early Childhood” for the first time in Tyre under the patronage and in the presence of MP Ali Khreis in collaboration with the Municipality of Tyre on Saturday 15 September 2018 in the city of Tyre.

The conference was aimed at empowering the child’s physical, intellectual and psychological capacities in the early years. The conference was attended by MP Ali Khreis, President of Union of Tyre Region Municipalities Eng. Hassan Dabouk, and Chairperson of the Committee of Women and Children in the Municipality of Tyre Mrs Randa Abu Saleh, Director of the Development Services Center in Ministry of Social Affairs Mrs. Rana Jahmi, Director of the Health Programs Department at the Islamic Health Authority Mrs Aliya Al Siblini as well as Educational Sector Representatives and Nurseties Owners & Directors in Tyre, Sidon and Nabatieh.

As the Media Advisor to the Syndicate of Professional Nurseries in Lebanon Mrs Rita Wakim Hage welcomed the Official Attendees and audience and explained the objectives of the conference dedicated to the southern daycares.

This was followed by the opening speech with Mr. Charbel Abi Nader the President of the Syndicate of Professional Nurseties in Lebanon in which he focused on the vital role of the Syndicate in activating and improving nurseries sector in Lebanon since its establishment 14 years ago through its cultural and awareness activities with nurseries a over Lebanon and the bilateral agreements signed by the Syndicate with well known public, and educational sectors such as The Lebanese Order of Physicians and the Mother and Child Department at the Faculty of Medicine Saint Joseph University, in addition to the Lebanese German University and others, in order to meet the safety standards in Nurseries and the early detection of problems and disorders in the early years. He also thanked Tyre Municipality for the collaboration and good reception and MP Ali Khreis for the kind Patronage

In his turn, the President of Union of Tyre Region Municipalities Mr. Hassan Dbouk welcomed the Syndicate in Tyre and expressed his happiness with this cooperation with a sector concerned with children and their rights in Lebanon, stressing the necessity of allocating the southern nurseries annually with similar educational activities to support children in the south

Then the speech of the conference patronage with MP Ali Khreis who commended the importance of follow-up on the role of nurseries by the ministries and competent authorities because they are now a major part of the life of the child, where he spends 6 to 8 hours a day in nurseries. In conclusion, he called for the need to raise healthy child in preschools and nurseries on the basis of principles and clear to become an effective person in society away from the pests that exist today, including drugs and others.

After that, Abi Nader delivered a tribute to Mr. Ali Khreis and the President of the Union of Tyre Region Municipalities Eng. Hassan Dbouk as a token of appreciation for the patronage and hosting of the conference of the Syndicate in the south. Mrs Nisrine Khadra Coordinator of Public Relations and Activities in the Municipality of Tyre presented and introduced the lecturers.

Of the lecturers who participated in the conference, Dr. Elias Abou Tayeh lecture on how the health of teeth related to heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimers, also discussed psychotherapist Esther Bou Antoun ways to develop the child’s skills from one to three years. After the President of UPEL Mrs. Amira Sukkar addressed the subject of strengthening the child’s capabilities bystrengthening the relationship between him and his surroundings and finally Nutritionist Pinella Moawad lecture on the importance of choosing healthy food for the child and avoid common mistakes.
