5 reasons you should have a glass of wine… like, now!

While wine is mostly seen as the perfect drink for a romantic dinner, it is just as good for a night out with friends or a night in when you’re #foreveralone. Here are 5 reasons you can use to justify your (healthy) habbit.

Ah wine, that sexy red drink you just can’t get enough of. That drink that just happens to be one of the healthiest ever created (provided you drink moderately), and here’s why.

1- It is good for your heart
Yes, this is a heart. ;)

You’ve heard about it, and here is the medical confirmation: The phytochemicals in wine raise your good cholesterol, while its antioxidants protect the lining of the coronary arteries.

2- It is good for your ears

You did not see this one coming eh? Well surprisingly, scientist found (and they are still shocked) that resveratrol, which is found in red wine, may help safeguard your hearing.

3- It protects your skin

Again, resveratrol (scientists still can’t believe this) helps neutralize free radicals, which can attack the skin when left unchecked. (This does not mean you can throw away your night creams ladies).

4- It is good for your blood
Wine helps blood circulation!

Alcohol naturally improves the body’s response to insulin, which regulates blood sugar. So drinking wine (moderately) helps in enhancing regulation of sugar in your blood. Yey!

5- It is good for your mind

Pour it up!

Now this one is unbelievable! A recent study has shown that alcohol (especially in wine) may help prevent cognitive decline since it promotes improved blood flow throughout your brain.

Pour it up! And if you feel like enjoying an open cheese and wine night in Beirut, you should definitely be at “La France à Beyrouth” on the 8th of May!
