Stylistas of Dubai were out in full force to get their fashion fix at the City Centre Mirdif Fashion Weekend, featuring the special appearance of regional fashion icon, Myriam Fares.
City Centre Mirdif stepped into the season by flaunting the hottest mix of Spring Summer trends. Twelve runway shows featuring 12 looks from premium fashion labels were presented. With slick back hair, bold lips and sultry eyes, the models paraded the latest trends from water-colour florals to bold military references; heightened by the special appearance of style icon and Lebanese singing sensation, Myriam Fares.
A style inspiration to the women in the audience, Fares took to the stage for the finale and closing of the fashion extravaganza. Guests were treated to a live interview with Fares, followed by her star performance of her hit singles. The special programme underlines Majid Al Futtaim’s continuous efforts to create great moments for everyone, every day.
Mini-stylistas joined in on the fun, by taking part in ‘Trashion’ – a stimulating event nurturing the next generation’s inkling for design, as well drawing on the theme of nature. Talented kids showcased their sense of style and creative flair by designing a garment using recyclable materials. Their work was presented on the catwalk and they were rewarded with cash prizes worth AED 5000 for the first place, AED 3000 for the second place, and AED 2000 for the third place.
