Infiniti QX30: A stylish premium crossover

The Infiniti QX30 is a premium crossover that stands out from the competition in its class through a unique style, sporty looks and exceptional handling.

At first glance, I did not notice any difference between the QX30 and its slightly smaller twin, the Q30. But Infiniti definitely had its reasons to create such similar cars, the QX30 being a jacked-up version of the Q30 hatchback. This car rivals premium small SUVs such as the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA, with which it shares many parts.

The Interior

The Infiniti QX30’s interior is not that different from its smaller twin, the Q30, but its leather seats and ergonomic dashboard take it up a notch. The driver cabin is also well equipped with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital climate control and sporty 18-inch alloy wheels.
However, the luxury and convenience it boasts on the front seats is not applicable for the back seat, which is just right for two adults. Ultimately, this makes the QX30 a perfect car for young and spirited drivers looking for adventurous trips on the lovely roads of Lebanon.

The exterior

The Infiniti QX30’s roofline makes it quickly noticeable from afar, its lines are also meant to create the Japanese automaker’s now-signature Z-shape flair. The car’s sharp design is commendable simply for standing from more and more similar looking cars in its class.
The front of the car is made up of Infiniti’s signature grill and logo design, and completed by a very sharp looking set of headlamps.

The performance

Being a premium crossover provides this unique car with some excellent features to boost its performance on the road. Indeed, the QX30 is fitted with a 2.1-litre diesel, automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive delivering 170hp and reaching 100km/h in less than 8.5 seconds.

The QX30 also gets Mercedes’ seven-speed automatic gearbox. It chooses gears wisely and shifts quickly, while the car’s four-wheel drive system is a win if you are driving in muddy and/or snowy conditions.

Handling is definitely the car’s major forte, mostly thanks to the nicely calibrated suspension and weighty steering. The QX30 is basically all about comfort as demonstrated by the near silent cabin at motorway speeds.

Pros

Handsome cabin with high-grade materials
Lots of features for a great price

Cons

Poor rearward visibility
