American Eagle Outfitters has opened its much-anticipated store in Beirut City Centre, continuing to expand the brand’s footprint with its third location in Lebanon after Kaslik and Hamra Street.
The new store arrives on the heels of American Eagle’s new summer collection, easy-going, fun-in the-sun clothing for men and women.
American Eagle Outfitters has planned two innovative graffiti campaigns to celebrate the store opening. The first, in partnership with Live Love Beirut, will be a digital competition to find the best creative Instagram picture taken next to AEO’s famous eagle logo, which will be printed on a hundred walls around popular youth areas of Beirut. The competition will last for a month and a daily winner will be selected to receive a LL 150,000 voucher.
The second pioneering clean graffiti campaign will be a first for Lebanon. Inspired by the “Wash Me” messages scrawled on dirty cars, clean graffiti artists will inscribe dirt-covered surfaces with images using environmentally friendly scrub brushes, scrapers and pressure hoses. The initiative will also portray Beirut’s skyline on a wall in Achrafieh.
Fun and interactive campaigns are nothing new for American Eagle. During the event on May 25 and May 26, American Eagle Outfitters also held an in-store competition in which customers picked out their favorite AEO outfits and took pictures. Three stylish winners won generous gift cards.
