Within the framework of BBAC’s participation in social and cultural activities that contribute to the empowerment of the local community, the bank sponsored “Ahla Fawda” NGO’s annual festival that set foot this year at Aley Symposium, in the city of Aley in Mount Lebanon, under the title “Aley-Z Let’s Go”.
The event took place under the patronage of the Ministers of Culture and Tourism, in cooperation with the Municipality of Aley, and in the presence of prominent and regional figures, as well as BBAC officials.
On the occasion, BBAC’s Chairman and General Manager Mr. Ghassan Assaf said: “We, at BBAC, are proud to be part of this creative festival, which is being held this year in Aley, where our bank has been present for 60 years. Our role goes beyond the ordinary banking industry, as it extends to support associations and people in all purposeful activities, which falls within the bank’s social responsibility goals”.
“Cultural work of arts and music greatly contribute to enhancing people’s lives, as a bank, we continually strive to improve society, stemming from our slogan “Your Caring Bank”. Care is not only moral and material, but also cultural, thus our bank continuously supports all activities that contribute to positive change in the community.” he added.
It is worth mentioning that the festival took the streets of Aley by storm, turning it into a hub of arts and culture, with the participation of Lebanese and international painters, sculptors and musicians. The festival also allocated an area for craftsmen, books and publications. In addition to its various musical activities that comprised opera, rock, jazz and eastern and western blues shows as well as Brazilian and African folklore performances. The festival also included kid’s entertainment and activities, and vintage cars exhibition.
