Canon Middle East put the newly-launched, rugged and waterproof PowerShot D30 through its paces at an experiential activity in Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi.

Photography enthusiasts put the camera to the test at Yas Waterworld, home to five world-first rides, including the newly-improved Best New Water Ride in the World 2013, Dawwama. In addition, the waterpark also plays host to a unique pearl diving experience, which offers guests the chance to dive to the depths of an underwater tank in a quest to collect three oysters, in an adventure reminiscent of Emirati pearl diving.

The PowerShot D30 utilises a 12.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor and a 28mm wide-angle, 5x zoom Canon lens, helping you capture the beauty of the sea in amazing detail.
This point and shoot camera use an optical Image Stabilizer to deliver crisp and clear shots and include Intelligent IS technology to automatically apply the most suitable form of stabilisation for a range of scenes and settings.

Experiment with your photos and establish your own style with the ISO range adjustment via the PowerShot S-series’ iconic Lens Control Ring, while Full Manual control lets you capture your own unique images in practically any situation.

Built to track and share your stories

Your memories and adventures are easy to track and share with the new PowerShot model. The camera can also log and tag the location where you captured each image or movie using GPS. The PowerShot D30 has a dedicated GPS unit via Mobile mode works with your smartphone to tag locations. You can then quickly and easily share your new location discoveries with friends and family using the supplied Map Utility software as well as via Google Earth.
