Established across the world and currently on their world tour, OneRepublic are one of the most dynamic and globally acclaimed bands in the music industry. With a string of chart-toppers like ‘Counting Stars’, ‘Apologize’ and ‘Stop and Stare’, their post-race event on Friday 26 January is set to be a night of hits and electrifying performances.
The same night will also see Swedish DJ and music producer Alesso, who has worked with iconic stars including Usher and David Guetta, take to the stage while Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram will also be performing.
Formula E is known for its thrilling pre and post-race concerts over race weekends, with last season’s event seeing John Legend, Miguel and French Montana and DJ Martin Garrix take to the stage.
Rounds 2 and 3 take place on a street circuit surrounding the UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most picturesque locations on the 16-race calendar the only night races in the Formula E season.
Ahead of the races, which start at 8pm AST on both days, ticketholders can enjoy a full day of entertainment for the whole family in the Allianz Fan Village, with racing simulators in the gaming arena, plus live music performances, street food and much more.
The Diriyah E-Prix races are part of Saudi Arabia’s investment in sport, which aims to inspire its people to enjoy active and healthy lives as part of the country’s Vision 2030 cultural transformation. From its investments in grass roots infrastructure through to hosting international events – including motorsport, football, tennis and boxing – the country’s Ministry of Sport has helped inspire a 48% increase in weekly sports participation among the local population. The number of Saudi-based sports federations is also up from 32 in 2015 to 97.
