Photomed at the Beirut Exhibition Center

For the third consecutive year, Downtown Beirut is hosting the PHOTOMED festival, with exhibitions running from the 20th of January until the 10th of February at the Beirut Exhibition Center.

This year, the festival features Spanish, Italian and French photographers including Antoine D’Agata, Toni Catany, Alvaro Sanchez-Montanes, Luis Vioque, Alessandro Puccinelli, Angelo Antolino, and the collection of the Spanish actor Gabino Diego. Also featured are Lebanese photographers like Gilbert Hage and Lamia Maria Abillama (Galerie Tanit), Lara Tabet and Myriam Boulos (Galerie Janine Rubeiz), Caroline Tabet and Tanya Traboulsi (Galerie ArtFactum), Waddah Faris and Hady Sy (Galerie Agial) and Tony Hage (Galerie Alice Mogabgab).

Since its inception six years go in Sanary in France, PHOTOMED has been showcasing the work of established and emerging photographers and artists from the Mediterranean, reflecting the region’s multi-layered and rich cultures, turbulent changes, and of course beauty of scenery. In 2014, a Lebanese edition has been created in in association with the office of Lebanon Tourism in Paris and in partnership with Byblos Bank.

The Beirut Exhibition Center is open daily from 11 am to 8 PM.
