Urban Decay, the edgiest makeup brand in the world, is now available in Lebanon, at its brand new point of sale in ABC Achrafieh. During an “Edgy Week-end”, thousands of visitors came to discover the brand in a more-than-ever purple atmosphere…
Starting Friday 22nd April at 10am, Urban Decay literally invaded the L0 space of ABC with its disco balls, its purple balloons and its unconventional walk-of-fame. After the ribbon cutting, a graffiti artist performed a live demonstration while the famous DJ “Djette” spun her tunes. Fans, customers, and passers-by were invited to discover the Urban Decay collection and enjoy free make-up application on make-up stages. Each event was edgier than the last! The weekend also hosted a game “Spin the Electric Wheel” inspired by Urban Decays Electric Palette where people were dared to spin the wheel and have the chance to get their make-up done based on the color they got.
All these events perfectly portrayed the story of Urban Decay, when back in the mid ’90s, Wende Zomnir, visionary businesswoman and makeup junky, revolutionized the standardized beauty market with her daring crazy shades. Along with her co-workers, she unleashed a line of lipsticks and nail enamels inspired by seedier facets of the urban landscape.
“Make-up is about self-expression. It is not about covering your flaws, but showing the world who you are”, Wende keeps claiming. Since day one until today, all the way from Laguna Beach California to the rest of the world, the same vibe keeps expanding: Beauty with an edgeTM.
While the brand continues to grow, the original team continues to experiment: UD now offers an endless array of high performance cosmetics, from velvety-soft shadows – including the industry bestseller Naked Palette – and creamy, badass luxury lipsticks, to weightless complexion products for ultra-definition skin, and high-tech setting sprays to make your makeup last all day.
The ever-expanding global presence of UD led the brand to Lebanon for the greatest pleasure of Lebanese makeup junkies, giving them the best alternative to the ultra-classic colors they have been used to.
If the cosmetic industry’s “big boys” cannot satisfy your alternative makeup tastes, don’t wait any longer! Come discover Urban Decay’s new point of sale at ABC Achrafieh.
