The 2015 People’s Choice Award at the Las Vegas Couture show was awarded to Yeprem Jewellry, which has become a household name for international celebrities.
Held annually at the luxurious Wynn Resort, the Design Awards at the Las Vegas Couture show caters to an elite community of renowned heritage brands, emerging design talent, the finest retailers and award-winning media from around the world.
A panel of judges made up of top retailers, fellow designers and jewelry editors from leading consumer magazines judged more than 200 submissions from around the world on criteria that included design and craftsmanship.
Design is at the heart of the show and the judges were looking for strong, original and interesting jewelry. It was no surprise that the Award went to Yeprem Jewellry, which has become the favorite designer of international stars including Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Rihanna to name a few.
The winning diamond hand piece ‘Ararad’ was inspired by the mighty Mount Ararad, which is considered a symbol of the motherland for all Armenians around the world. It was created right on time to embody more than just the representation of the mount itself, but a centennial milestone in the lifetime of a colossal civilization.
This timeless piece hides between its diamonds the secrets inspired by the silent witness and whispers with its elegance a tribute to the 100 years commemoration of the Armenian Genocide.
Accepting the award on behalf of his family, Loutfic Chakardemian, son of the founder Yeprem Chakardemian, thanked the Couture Show judges and promised to deliver even more creative and original pieces in the years to come.
