How (some) Lebanese grandmothers watch TV series

Arab and Turkish series are very popular in Lebanon, especially during Ramadan and other holidays. Here’s how one Lebanese grandmother watches and reacts to event on her favorite TV series.

The above video went viral last week on social media and was widely shared on WhatsApp. It shows a Lebanese grandmother reacting to (dramatic) events on her favorite TV series.

The woman is standing in front of the television and knocking on the screen asking one character not to believe her ex-husband, who (from what we understand) wants to take all of her money.

I bet it’s a reminder of how (many) of our amazing grandmothers spend their time in front of the TV, but they surely aren’t the only ones to enjoy and live out events on TV. Last month, another similar video went viral, it was about a Lebanese football going crazy when his favorite team scored.

See it here.
