Everybody has at least one talent. However, most of our talents are largely undiscovered. If you have a hidden talent or talents, then you have to see what you are good at. No one should grow up without a talent, because everyone has one, you just about need to find it, and you can share it with the world.
Nancy Boutros did not study drawing, but from a young age, she was interested in the art of drawing, as she grew up in a house that loves art of all kinds, so she took her brushes and started to paint. She was able to paint 40 paintings during the quarantine after announcing lockdown in the country at the beginning of Corona pandemic and her artworks received many positive responses, and she was encouraged by family and friends to develop her talent and the need to display these artworks.
Nancy Boutros grew up in the artist’s family, so living with art was a natural part of her life since early childhood. The walls of the house were covered with her father’s sculptures. The art that surrounded her in her childhood had an enormous impact on her as personality.
She drew the first painting in January (December) 2020, And in the meantime she had the time to devote herself to a hobby that she loved since childhood, but the circumstances of life and also to choose a major far from arts, she always felt like finding a way to express what she was inside, but she didn’t know what it was. Thus passed the days between work and busy life until the right moment came to highlight the talent that was buried inside her and did not know that she possessed that talent.
She was surprised when she subconsciously painted a landscape painting because she loves nature so much. she expressed this through those paintings that impressed many people, which prompted her to paint more landscapes. Knowing that she initially thought that it was because of sitting at home that she could not reach her office, but in fact, painting was what she was looking for a long time. Meanwhile, she had time to pursue and learn all about the art of painting. Basically, she’s influenced by many international painters who have achieved success in the field of painting, and it is not forgotten that there are people who did not study the art of drawing, but created works of art because they possessed the talent and passion. With the beginning of the Corona pandemic and the closure of the country for weeks, she devoted more to painting if she wanted to benefit from her time and make up for the years that she was busy with work and life. Of course, in the time of the Coronavirus, life stopped, but this does not prevent a person, in the most difficult circumstances, who can achieve himself and search for what gives him hope and optimism. As for her, she found this hope and joy in painting despite all the tragedies and problems that our country, Lebanon, is going through.
Indeed, she has always been drawn to paintings that embody the beauty of nature. Natural places were the inspiration for the world’s great painters, who immortalized scenes that inspired them in their works and spread their fame even among those who had never visited them. She is a fan of the world artist (Van Gogh) and one of the best things he said about nature (if you love nature, you will find beauty everyway). She is also influenced by the French painter (Claude Monet), to whom he attributed the emergence of the Impressionist school, one of the first schools of modern art, when he painted “The Impression of the Sunrise”. She feels happy when she paints landscapes and every time she discovers why these international painters are so attached to nature because it is really inspiring.
Nancy loves to paint landscapes and things that suggest beauty, tranquility and hope, but on the day the Beirut Port explosion occurred on the fourth of August, she found herself drawing a painting in which she express her feeling of pain when it afflicted our beautiful city, Beirut and its people. She drew a hand holding the Lebanese flag and it was bleeding and the light was shining from above because she wanted to send hope also in that painting. Despite the pain and sadness, it remains a place of hope, and this is what she expressed in that painting that was admired by people on her Facebook and Instagram pages.
Since she started painting, her family and friends encouraged her not to stop drawing and to display these paintings through an exhibition. However, given the difficult conditions the country is going through, she will postpone holding an exhibition, so she launched a page on Facebook and Instagram to share her artwork with the followers.
She is very pleased with the positive interaction of people with all the paintings she posted, and this motivates her more to paint more until the opportunity arises to hold an exhibition in better conditions … and said hope remains that makes our lives meaningful. One of the basics of happiness in life is that there is some hope in our life that we try to reach and achieve, whether by doing something we love and survive.
