Noor Bank announced the appointment of Damian White as Treasurer, with responsibility for managing the bank’s trading activities, investment portfolio and the sale of market based treasury products to customers.
As Chairman of the Asset and Liability Committee, he is also tasked with asset and liability management of the balance sheet.

Previously, White served as Group Treasurer of Al Rajhi Bank, based in Riyadh. Before moving to the Middle East he was associated with the National Australia Bank, Melbourne, as Head of Group Funding, where he was responsible for raising approximately US$30 billion of capital and term funding from global markets annually. White served also as the Head of the Funding Desk at Lehman Brothers Treasury, based in London.
Damian will report directly to Hussain Al Qemzi, GCEO, Noor Investment Group and CEO, Noor Bank. Omar Anwar, Head of Treasury Sales; Ibrahim Bitar, Head of Sukuk Desk, and Tuan Ahamath, Head of Money Markets, will report to Damian.
A former Infantry Officer in the Australian Regular Army, White holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and a Queen’s Commission from the Royal Military College, Duntroon, Australia
