Holy Mother of Platforms! This is everyone’s reaction to Charlotte Olympia’s creative way in handling design! It is no scoop by now to know that this upscale brand has its unique way to transform the platform part of a shoe into the star zone!

Coming to the spring/summer collection of 2012, Charlotte Olympiaput forward a collection that provided essentials (such as nude and black shoes with their white or golden platforms), metallic hues to go along with the runway new obsession, leaf themed pairs –extremely creative designs- and of course the famous most comfortable wedges!
Belle Beirut and I went over the collection to present it to you in the attached gallery!
The designs that caught my attention most, were the ones that drifted apart from the classical Charlotte Olympia trend in design:
“Leaf Me Alone” in the golden shade is a true star, in design and color; some maison McQueen hint appear in it.
“Ocean Drive” which is platform-less , medium heeled and down-toned in colors, is simply great to go with a girly simple look.
“Dotty” a low golden platform design, will do for your formal appearances where high platform is too bold.
“Lorlei Net” is the sexy star of the collection, with laser-cut net shaped design; you’re wearing a hint of Moulin Rouge!
Made of raffia like a lot of other pairs in this collection “Rapunzel” is the “it” wedge I recommend!
And finally “Avalon”. Simply a masterpiece. With no further comments!!
Glamorously yours,
Patricia Issa
