Chromatic Fragments: Tony Ward’s Ready-to-Wear 2018 collection

This season, the Tony Ward Spring Summer 2018 collection is inspired by the Art of Mosaics.

The complex concept of this Art particularly spoke to the designer who paid scrupulous attention to the way these small pieces are assembled and arranged together to create an intricate yet unified picture.

Drawn by the meticulous and precise work required to elaborate such masterpieces, Tony Ward replicates these prismatic shapes in his designs.

Multicolored fragmented embroideries are handcrafted on the dresses, replicating the rich patterns of fascinating Mosaic Artworks.

The collection mixes lace, tulle and crepe enhanced by vivid embroideries. The dresses are Monaco blue, beige rosé, chalk pink, silver blue, capri, black and off-white, merged together in a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of hazy colors, degrading into delicate ombré displays.

For the Spring Summer 2018, Tony Ward imagines a puzzling muse; a beautiful woman offering a clear and flawless image, but when one bothers to look closely enough, a multitude of intricate details and colorful emotions are revealed.
