Miley Cyrus was banned on Thursday by the government of the Dominican Republic from performing at her concert which was scheduled for September 13th, 2014 in Santo Domingo.
A statement released by a government commission said that the decision was taken because Miley Cyrus “often undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law.”
Tickets ranging from $27 to $370 for the concert in the capital have been on sale since July.
The young singer, formerly known by her good girl alter ego “Hannah Montana”, has now become a vulgar performer according to some critics against her onstage signature moves including twerking and crotch-grabbing.
