Sally Greige was named Miss Lebanon 2014 on Sunday night, during an amazing ceremony that was held at Casino du Liban in Jounieh.
Greige, a 24 year old Civil Engineering major, speaks three languages and is a passionate advocate for women’s rights.
“If I were to take part in one demonstration, I would choose to participate in a demonstration to defend the rights of Lebanese women,” she responded to a question posed to five finalists.
Sally Greige a brunette with green eyes, wowed the jury which included Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, and TV Host Georges Kordahi, in the swimming suit and evening gown competitions.
She wore a black and white Zuhair Murad embroidered sheath dress while receiving her crown. The first runner-up was Elsa Hajjar and the third was Rouba Mounzer.
Among the prizes she won were a $300,000 apartment, a 2014 Audi Q3 and $50,000 worth of jewelry.
The pageant shone a positive light on Lebanon, despite the ongoing problems on its borders with Syria.
