Mimi Alford was a 69 year old grandmother leading a normal life until she decided to publish a tell all book in which she claims former US president John F. Kennedy took her virginity.
Whether the 69 year old’s claims are true or not does not matter anymore because she already tarnished the image of a man who portrayed the genuine loving American husband. Jackie Kennedy would have been devastated.
The retired New York church administrator’s tell-all book also details how, during a passionate 18-month affair with the former president, he told her to perform a sex act on his friend as he watched.
The book is titled “Once Upon a Secret: My Affair with President John F Kennedy and Its Aftermath”. Alford was 19 years old when the affair took place, and she had landed a job at the White House press office.
According to the book, the first encounter between Alford and Kennedy occurred during an after-work party. In her memoir, she describes the first time they had sex in vivid details.
To justify her relationship with the former president, the grandmother says: “The fact that I was being desired by the most famous and powerful man in America only amplified my feelings to the point where resistance was out of the question. That’s why I didn’t say no to the president. It’s the best answer I can give.”
There was no immediate reaction by the Kennedy family to the claims in the book, but it is certain that it will be a best-seller.
This book amplifies the meaning of Tori Amos’ song about Jackie Kennedy, the former US president’s wife.
