We’ve been seeing, for a while, those gorgeous pinkies everywhere, and I’ve been searching for the perfect one myself without really knowing what is behind this sudden interest/need in putting a ring on that little finger.
What if unconsciously the pinky finger is linked to the pinky promise or pinky swear. Back in my childhood days the touching of the pinkies signified that a promise has been made.
And indeed, the real inspiration behind this trend was a promise to oneself, initiated by the jewelry brand, Fred + Far who started a self-love movement.
“Wearing a pinky means that you made the promise to choose, honor and remember yourself on a daily basis.”

At first, I was sceptic about this trend. But honestly, Why not? We could all need this gentle reminder from time to time. So, for now, I am all for the edgy, bold and sparkly pinky rings.
